Texas Lemonade (Texas Limeade)
“Texas lemonade” can mean simple lemonade, or it can be a drink with tequila, vodka, rum or even beer. The “Texas lemonade” in Grady Spears’ book Cowboy Cocktails (2000) uses tequila. The “Texas lemonade” (also “Texas limeade”) recipe by Austin-based Tito’s Handmade Vodka uses vodka. The drink is first recorded in the 1990s from Austin.

Texas Lemonade
Take one can of frozen pink lemonade (you can also use kool-aid that’s made) and pour into a large pitcher with some water. Add in one whole jar of cherries (juice and all). Then mix in tequilla, adding as much or as little as you want. Great taste!

Okay, this is totally not a dessert but your hubby would be a huge hit if he took some Texas Lemonade.
12 lemons halved and squeezed into a 2 gallon tea jar
1 cup sugar
1 beer
1 ltr of vodka
ice to fill the jar
shake, shake shake, add more ice, shake a little more and then ENJOY! We used to drink this in college on our way to the OU/Texas football game. That is why we called it Texas Lemonade. I’m not sure if it has a “real” name or not.
