Robert John Meehan is now one of the nation’s most read public school allies. Much has been said about the difficulties involved teaching in the inner-city schools, but little has been done to share the emotions of both teacher and student as Robert John Meehan has. He has done much in the area of encouraging others to share their feelings about what can and should be done in today’s classrooms. His career expanded over four decades of teaching in the urban classroom.
