The reverse saying is less popular because spaghetti usually doesn’t have to be explained, but some people have pointed out that lo mein came first and was brought to Italy by Marco Polo (1254-1324). “Lo mein is chinese spaghetti,  and spaghetti is italian lo mein” was posted on Twitter by Kendal on December 28, 2012. “Spaghetti is basically Italian lo mein” was posted on Reddit—Showerthoughts on December 20, 2016. “You’ve got it backwards. Wikipedia: Lo mein
Lo mein (traditional Chinese: 撈麵/撈麪; simplified Chinese: 捞面; Cantonese Yale: lou1 min6; pinyin:

) is a Chinese dish with egg noodles. It often contains vegetables and some type of meat or seafood, usually beef, chicken, pork, shrimp or wontons. It can also be eaten with just vegetables.

Wikipedia: Spaghetti
Spaghetti (Italian: [spaˈɡetti]) is a long, thin, solid, cylindrical noodle pasta. It is a staple food of traditional Italian cuisine. Like other pasta, spaghetti is made of milled wheat and water and sometimes enriched with vitamins and minerals. Italian spaghetti is typically made from durum wheat semolina. Usually the pasta is white because refined flour is used, but whole wheat flour may be added.
