Sherrill is a city in Oneida County, New York, United States. With a population of 3,071 (2010 census), it is the least populous city in the state. Sherrill is located at the western end of the Town of Vernon on Route 5. Sherrill is referred to as The Silver City.

Sherrill: “Silver City”
For many years, this city was the leading maker of silver tableware in the U.S. Oneida Limited was founded here in 1880 by John Humphrey Noyes. In a reversal of the city of Cortland (also on this list), Sherrill, with a population of about 3,100, is certified as the smallest city in New York State.
