Shaggy Dog (Frito chili pie + hot dog)
A “Shaggy Dog,” as served at the Texas Chili Parlor at the State Fair of Texas, is a hot dog topped with a Frito pie (Fritos corn chips, chile con carne and cheese). The “Shaggy Dog” dish has been served at the State Fair since at least 2007.

We’re amazed no one ever thought to combine the bread and meat combination of a hot dog with a corn chip, cheese and chili combination of a Frito pie before. It works. You’ll find it at the Texas Chili Parlor inside the Coca-Cola Food Court.”
