Setters (Pace University teams)

Pace University has a campus on the Manhattan side of the Brooklyn Bridge, although the athletic teams are mostly from Pace's Westchester campus.

The team nickname is the Pace Setters. Too bad "pacemakers" didn't make it.

13 November 1976, New York Times, pg. 38:
Gerry Owen scored on second-quarter runs of 6 and 3 yards to lead Pace University, the Met 8 Conference champion, to a 21-0 victory over St. Peter's College tonight. Tony Alfero added a 5-yard touchdown run in the third period for the Setters, who are 7-1.
