Sam ‘n’ Ella (salmonella)

Wikipedia: Salmonella
Salmonella is a genus of rod-shaped (bacillus) Gram-negative bacteria of the family Enterobacteriaceae. The two species of Salmonella are Salmonella enterica and Salmonella bongori. S. enterica is the type species and is further divided into six subspecies that include over 2,600 serotypes. Salmonella was named after Daniel Elmer Salmon (1850–1914), an American veterinary surgeon.

Recently, after many lonely years, dear Ella finally found the man of her dreams. But everyone she talked to warned her not to marry her new friend Samuel. Sure enough, she didn’t listen. It wasn’t but a few short days after the wedding that both bride and groom were rushed to the local hospital emergency room…can you tell me why?

Who are Sam and Ella, and why do they poison so many people?
They seem to really be unhappy with people.

I like salmon, as long as it’s not served by Ella (I’ll have the salmon, Ella)
