“Roommates say I steal a kitchen utensil, but it’s a whisk I’m willing to take”

For those who weally, weally weplace “r” with “w” in their speech, the following joke was cited on Twitter on February 17, 2010:

“Thinking about robbing a kitchen. Might get caught, but that’s a whisk I’m willing to take.”

The joke has slightly different wording in the beginning, but “whisk I’m willing to take” is always the punchline.

I saw Jonathan Ross in a department store last week.
He was acting suspiciously, looking at the kitchen utensils so I walked up to him and said, “You’ll probably get caught if you steal anything.”
He replied, “Well, that’s the whisk I’m willing to take.”

My friend wanted to steal a kitchen utensil, and I said “But you might get arrested!” and he said “That’s a whisk I’m willing to take.”

I saw Roy acting suspiciously in the kitchenware department at John Lewis and slipping an electric hand mixer into his bag.
“You’ll get nicked if they catch you.” I said.
“I know,” he replied, “But it’s a whisk I’m willing to take.”
