“Restaurants omit pants in ‘no shoes, no shirt, no service’ because they serve bottomless brunch”

A “bottomless brunch” is a brunch that has a fixed price, for many dishes of food and unlimited drinks. It does not mean that the diners do not wear pants, but there are jokes.

“Bottomless brunch (yes, @brandisimmons & @jeffnoel, that means pants)” was posted on Twitter by Shannon Perry on November 21, 2010. “apparently ‘bottomless brunch’ refers to unlimited mimosas and not showing up to brunch with no pants #whoknew” was posted on Twitter by Evan on May 26, 2012. “NYC tip #39: Bottomless brunch refers to unlimited drinks. Please wear pants” was posted on Twitter by Ed Lee on November 23, 2013.

“Bottomless brunch is actually just brunch in your own home without pants on” was posted on Twitter by Shaunito ✡️ on June 22, 2019. “The only bottomless brunch I’ve had recently is when my kids refuse to wear pants at the breakfast table” was posted on Twitter by momwithaboysname on September 10, 2020. “Have you noticed how restaurants omit pants in the ‘no shoes, no shirt, no service’ sign?
