Queso Fries
“Queso Fries” are a specialty of the Texicalli Grille in Austin, Texas. Several other restaurants throughout the country offer “queso fries,” and it’s not known if the Texicalli Grille “invented” them. Texicalli’s “queso fries” are “waffle fries and chili con queso.”

Wednesday evening Matt and I headed out to Champps a Sports Bar in Durham thus allowing us to eat dinner AND watch the second half of the Georgia Tech at Wake Forest game. Neither of us had ever been there before and the menu was quite extensive. I settled on the Peppercorn Stack Burger with queso fries and a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. (...) The queso was homemade and delicious and the waffle fries were an interesting change of pace.
