PLINO (Pro-Life In Name Only)

PLINO (Pro-Life In Name Only or Pro-Lifer In Name Only) is a spinoff term from the earlier RINO (Republican In Name Only). “RINO” is cited in print from 1992; ““PLINO” is cited in print from 2005. A “PLINO” politician is one who tells conservative families and religious groups that he or she is “pro-life,” but who still supports abortion rights.

It seems to me that any use of the term “pro-life” is a concession that reinforces opponents of abortion and screws pro-choice folks.  Once you’ve established that this group is for life, you can easily associate that the “choice” group is for choosing to end life. 
 
And that sucks.  So, we need to cut this term off at the knees…
