Plano Princess
Plano is a suburb of Dallas, rated by Forbes one of the “Top Suburbs To Live Well.” Many Plano husbands have high-paying tech jobs and the Plano housewives—who are perhaps too spoiled—have received the “Plano Princess” label. The “Plano Princess” moniker has also been applied to the Plano daughters of high school age.

Plano Princess
A woman between 28 and 48, driving an SUV while talking on the cell-phone, not paying attention to where she’s going, and with at least 3 different kids names with sport stickers on her rear window. She generally doesn’t realize her husband is paying for their lifestyle with credit and they’ll be on the street if he loses his telecom job.
I’m going to be late this morning, i’m stuck behind a Plano Princess.
Geez, you’d think every Plano Princess in town was at the mall today.

The couples were some of the first homeowners on Shady Valley Road, set in a sea of houses and subdivisions stretching to the horizon, all across a county north of Dallas where the average home size is 3,787 square feet, and the population has quadrupled since 1980 to a half-million people.
There is neither shade nor a valley associated with Shady Valley Road. Angie and Angie get the joke about that: They make gentle cracks about “Plano princesses,” the gossipy housewives tooling around in their sport-utes. They see the wry symbolism in the pitiful little trees tethered to their lawns, trying to grow.

It is a wonderful invention by Graco, where you buy a compatible car seat and it locks into a stroller frame. No gadget, gizmos, cup holders or wipe warmers. Just a stroller. Being in Dallas, it was amazing that we were able to find something like this. Most stores probably would not carry this option for fear of offending the Plano Princesses with it lack of options.
