“People who say ‘good morning’ should be forced to prove it”
“Good morning!” is a common greeting. “What’s good about it?” is a frequent—and usually unwelcome—response.
“People who say ‘Good morning’ should be forced to prove it” is a jocular saying that has been printed on ecards and GIFs. “Whoever saying ‘good Morning’ this week have to prove it!” was cited on Twitter on December 11, 2011. “People who say ‘good morning’ should be forced to prove it” was cited on Twitter on May 2, 2012.
“Anyone who says ‘good morning’ on a Monday is a sociopath” is another popular “good morning” saying.

It is a small story, but one you will recognize as part of the Vassar picture, the same picture that goes with the very old joke about the professor who says good morning to a class. At College A, which I won’t name, the students take out their copy books and write, “Good morning,” but at Vassar they say, “Prove it!”
