The Big Apple is a huge apple located in New York City in New York. It is located near the Statue of Liberty. Its location is a joke with the fact that New York City can also be called “The Big Apple”.
Background
After Mr. Turner got lost yet again and stranded his family on a deserted island, he remembers his past fiasco trips, and one of them included a trip to the Big Apple, where he took a wrong turn and drove the car into a volcano.
Trivia
The Big Apple is a real-life nickname for New York City.
