“Our five senses are incomplete without the sixth—a sense of humor”

“Our five senses are incomplete without the sixth—a sense of humor” is a saying that has been printed on many images. William Arthur Ward (1921-1994) wrote the saying, which appears in the book Thoughts of a Christian Optimist; The Words of William Arthur Ward (1968).

I HAVE JUST received a small book which I think is a little treasure. “Thoughts of a Christian Optimist” is beautifully fashioned and the author William Arthur Ward, is so capable of writing his thoughts to give a “lift” to others, He is well known for his poems and meditations. His work is with people and churches. One thought especially appeals to me: “Our five senses are incomplete without the sixth—a sense of humor.”
