“One man’s chicken shit is another man’s chicken salad”

“One man’s chicken shit is another man’s chicken salad” is an expressive way of saying that people have different tastes. The saying is cited in print from at least 2001.
 
Another saying using the same terms is: “You can’t make chicken salad out of chicken shit.”

Subject matter is very subjective. What’s the old saying…”One man’s chicken s&*% is another man’s chicken salad”. People tend to overvalue things that belong to them - primarily cuteness of their pets and children, but inevitably, their real estate also falls into this category.
