Many people believe that once a fork, a knife or a spoon is used for cat food or dog food, it cannot be used for human food ever again. This comment was posted on X/Twitter by Lux on March 2, 2026, and it received over 7,200 likes:

No… the argument is that there’s nothing in dog/cat food that will harm you and it isn’t like the animal is licking the spoon. Meaning getting rid of the utensil or never using it for human food again is irrational bc it won’t hurt you. Pls use ur brain
