“Note to self: Don’t rub eyes after cutting jalapeños”

Many people have learned the hard way that you should wear gloves while cutting jalapeños, or the hands will feel burn. If someone later uses those post-jalapeño-cutting hands to rub their eyes, it will cause even more pain. Washing hands immediately doesn’t make the eye rubbing much safer, either.
