“Noses are red, fingers are blue, I’m tired of winter. How about you?”

A winter version of the “Roses are red…” poem has been printed on many images:

“Noses are red,
Fingers are blue.
I’m sick/tired of winter.
How about you?”

The first two lines have been frequently used on Valentine’s Day (February 14th) personal advertisements.

“Noses are red; Fingers are blue; The warmer your smile The warmer are YOU!” was printed in the Illinois State Journal and Register (Springfield, IL) on January 12, 1947. “ROSES ARE RED, FINGERS are blue. We like hot weather—how about you?...Probably not” was printed in the Albuquerque (NM) Journal on January 6, 1950. “Noses are red, Fingers are blue. I don’t like winter, How about you?” was printed in the Springfield (MO) Daily News on February 8, 1983.

“Noses are red, Fingers are blue, I’m tired of winter, How bout you?” was posted on Twitter by Buffy Six™ (and others) on January 7, 2015.
