“No one wants to hear about your fantasy football team”

Fantasy football is popular in the United States, but people are bored hearing about other people’s fantasy teams. “No one wants to hear about your fantasy football team” is a common saying.

“Nobody wants to hear about your fantasy team” has been cited in print since at least 2009.

Wikipedia: Fantasy football (American)
Fantasy football is a game of skill in which the participants serve as the general managers of virtual professional gridiron football teams. The competitors choose their team rosters by participating in a draft in which all players of a real football league are available. Points are based on the actual performances of the players in real-world competition. The game typically involves the National Football League, Canadian Football League or college football.

The cries of “Nobody wants to hear about your fantasy team” are dwindling with each passing year, in large part because we can’t pipe down about how Michael Vick might torch the Redskins again.
