Nerdstrom or Nerdstorm (Nordstrom nickname)

Nordstrom is a fashion retail chain that began in the early 1900s in Seattle, Washington. Nordstorm doesn’t seemingly have any direct appeal for nerds, but the store has infrequently been nicknamed “Nerdstrom” and “Nerdstorm” since at least the 2000s.

I confess the only Nordstrom (or “Nerdstorm,” as my 12-year-old son calls it) I ever visited is in the Corte Madera shopping center in Marin County, Calif., and that was to use the bathroom during holiday shopping while visiting my mother-in-law.

Yatta!
Inks are done! And now I’ve decided to take a break from computer work, but I’ll probably start toning the new pages after dinner tonight. Right now my dad and uncle are out at the Dog n’ Suds looking at old cars, and mom and my aunt are downtown at Nordstrom, or as my brother and I like to call it, Nerdstorm.
