Nazis In Healthcare (National Institutes of Health or NIH nickname)
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is responsible for biomedical and public health research in the United States. Some critics of the NIH have called it “Nazis In Healthcare.”
“NIH = NAZI’s In Healthcare” (shown on a protest sign) was used in an AIDS Coalition To Unleash Power (ACT UP) “Storm the NIH” action at Bethesda, Maryland, on May 21, 1990.
Other NIH nicknames include “National Institutes of Hell,” “National Institutes of Hope” and “National Institute of Hypocrisy.”
