Nacanowhere or Naconowhere or Nacognowhere (Nacogdoches nickname)
The city of Nacogdoches claims to be the “oldest town in Texas,” but it’s not especially big (compared to Dallas or Houston). Some Texans consider Nacogdoches to be a “nowhere” town.
The name “Nacanowhere” (or “Naca-nowhere”) or “Naconowhere” (or “Naco-nowhere”) has been applied to Nacogdoches since at least 1993. “Nacognowhere” has been used since at least 1998.

my only problem with that is that where i live there are virtually NO import type connections, and i can’t afford Goldmine or the drive to Bill’s in Dallas/Plano or Infinite Records in Houston ( i live in little ol’ Nacogdoches [or naca-nowhere, nasty-dog-cheese, naked-roaches]),

Living in East Texas - behind the Pine Curtain, the only thing we have more of than Bible Thumpin assholes are pine trees - and that’s a close race. I think this is part of the “charm” of Nacogdoches - aka nacanowhere.

“There’s a nickname—everybody calls Nacogdoches ‘Nacognowhere,’” said Devin Greer, 19, a freshman business major at Stephen F. Austin University.

While watching the multitude of news broadcasts on the Columbia tragedy, it is hard for one to believe that he or she is hearing the word “Nacogdoches” in them.
The once endearingly bestowed nickname of “Naconowhere” has been replaced with “Nacosomewhere”. The old “nothing ever happens in Nacogdoches” became an echo of the past as a frantic rush of media unlike anything Nacogdoches has seen and may never see again hurried here in pursuit of the lead story.

Nacogdoches. Small (~30k) college town in deep East Texas. Most students call it “Naconowhere” both because they can’t spell Nacogdoches and because of its location and lack of anything resembling civilization to those from Dallas/Houston.
8 March 2007, Nacogdoches (TX) Daily Sentinel:
This town has been called “Naconowhere” and “Shangri-ladoches” - a sign of its split personality.
