“My COVID-19 is the most weight I’ve gained since my Freshman 15”

The 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic resulted in home lockdowns. Many people did not get enough exercise and ate a lot, gaining weight similar to a college student’s “freshman 15” (pounds).

“Anyone else noticing a different #covid19 that is more like the freshman 15? Working from home = more snacks” was posted on Twitter by Megan Graff on March 12, 2020. “#COVID19 staying home & eating snacks all day is the new Freshman 15” was posted on Twitter by Doneliza Joaquin on March 13, 2020. “My COVID-19 is the most weight I’ve gained since my Freshman 15” was posted on Reddit—Oneliners on May 1, 2020.

In college, stress eating, drinking too much and lack of exercise gave you the “Freshman 15”.
When this quarantine is over, “The Covid 19” may well have a new meaning for our collective waistlines. #COVID19

It’s called #COVID19 because of how much weight you gain in #Quarantine . It’s the new freshman 15.

When kids go off to college and gain weight, it’s commonly referred to as the “Freshman 15”
With this quarantine, never has it been more accurate to call it “COVID-19” cuz I’m definitely gaining at least 19lbs while #StayAtHome orders are in place
