“My attempt to make the perfect halal sandwich failed, when I made a pig’s ear of it…..” was posted on Twitter by Sickipedia Official on May 14, 2014. The joke originally was posted on the Sickipedia website.
   
“Make a pig’s ear of” means to do badly, or to make a mess of something. A pig is not halal, so a pig’s ear sandwich is not a perfect halal sandwich.
