MSNB-Pravda or MSNBC-Pravda (MSNBC nickname)

The MSNBC network (headquartered in Rockefeller Center in Manhattan) is known for its progressive slant on political issues. MSNBC is frequently criticized for a pro-Democratic Party, anti-Republican Party bias. During the presidency of Barack Obama (a Democrat), MSNBC has been compared to Pravda (the newspaper organ of the Soviet Union). “State Run Television MSNBC PRAVDA Obama Saved The Day” was cited in print in August 2010. Thomas DiLorenzo, a contributor to the LewRockwell.com Blog, used “MSNB-Pravda” on October 2 and October 17, 2013.

Other MSNBC nicknames include “PMSNBC” (since at least July 1996), “MSNBS” (since October 1996), “MessNBC” (since at least March 2002),  “MSLGBT” (since at least October 2008), “MSLSD” (since at least September 2005), “MSDNC” (since at least May 2005), “Moonbats Spouting Nothing But Crap” (since January 2010), “More Stupid Nonsense Bull Crap” (since April 2013) and “MSNPC” (since June 2013).

The more conservative Fox News Channel has nicknames that include “Faux News” (since March 2001), “Fux News” (since July 2001), “Fox Spews”/“Faux Spews” (since November 2001), “Foxaganda” (since October 2003), “Fox Noise”/“Faux Noise” (since August 2004), “Fake News” (since September 2004), “Fixed News” (since October 2004), “Fox Comedy” (since December 2005), “Full Of Xenophobia” (since March 2007), “Fixed Noise” (since August 2007) and “FoxPAC” (since September 2009).

Wikipedia: MSNBC
MSNBC is an American basic cable and satellite news television channel that is owned by the NBCUniversal News Group, a unit of the NBCUniversal Television Group division of NBCUniversal. The channel features news, information, and political opinion programming. Its name was derived from the most common abbreviations for Microsoft and the National Broadcasting Company.

MSNBC and msnbc.com were founded in 1996 as partnerships of Microsoft and General Electric’s NBC unit, which is now NBCUniversal. The online partnership of msnbc.com ended on July 16, 2012 and the site was rebranded as NBCNews.com. MSNBC shares the NBC logo of a rainbow peacock with its sister channels NBC, CNBC, and NBC Sports Network.

Beginning in the mid-2000s, MSNBC assumed an increasingly liberal stance in its opinion programming. In October 2010, it publicly acknowledged this with a marketing campaign it called “Lean Forward”. Further, in September of 2013, MSNBC launched its revamped official website under the tagline, “What Progressives Have Been Waiting For.”

Wikipedia: Pravda
Pravda (Russian: Правда, IPA: [ˈpravdə], “Truth”) is a Russian political newspaper associated with the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. The newspaper was started by the Russian Revolutionaries during the pre-World War I days and emerged as a leading newspaper of the Soviet Union after the Russian Revolution. The newspaper also served as a central organ of the Central Committee of the RSDLP and the CPSU between 1912 and 1991.

After the dissolution of the USSR, Pravda was closed down by the then Russian President Boris Yeltsin. As was the fate of many of the Soviet-era enterprises Pravda too suffered a huge economic downfall and after that the paper was sold to a Greek business family. Finally the Communist Party of Russian Federation acquired the newspaper in 1997 and established it as its principal mouthpiece. Pravda is still functioning from the same headquarters on Pravda Street in Moscow where it was published in the Soviet days. During its heyday Pravda was selling millions of copies per day compared to the current print run of just one hundred thousand copies.

You mean a real news organization like MSNBC/Pravda?

When the government is paying for the news organization, it is no longer a news organization. When MSNBC is owned by GE, and GE is getting government bailouts, it is no longer a real news organization. It is Pravda.

Yes, I know ... The “Why do we care what MSNBC says, nobody watches them” comments will come. However, we cannot ignore the accelerated downward spiral a branch of the supposed media watchdogs has taken over the last over 10 years. It has reached the point of dangerous.

The “media” have finally destroyed what tiny bit of credibility they had as a “news” source with their “coverage” of the government “shutdown.”  This of course is good news for all producers and non-parasites in American society.  They have done so with their ridiculous claims all over tv and radio of a supposed “increasing backlash” against the “shutdown” of a few government offices.  Americans are experiencing “Frustration Coast to Coast,” shouts USA Today in the dumbest headline of the day.  Among the “horror stories” discussed are a woman who may have to postpone her “fantasy wedding” in a government-run park; a possibly cancelled marathon in New Jersey; various vacations in government-run parks; and a family that may have to delay “the dream of home ownership” for a few days.  Oh, the misery of the poor booboisie!

No one I’ve been around gives a crap.  No one is talking about it but the “media,” who are worse propagandists than any who worked for PRAVDA under Soviet communism.

I spent about three minutes this morning flipping through the (faux) “news” channels and the states’ sock puppets at all the “major” networks were collectively wetting their pants in orgasmic celebration of the looters and murderers returning to work in DC.  One Baltimore TV reporter interviewed a federal bureaucrat and asked him how he “felt” about being “furloughed” (i.e., having a fully-paid, sixteen-day vacation) and the bureaucrat said it was “horrible, just horrible!!!”  Oh, the humanity.
