“Moses had the first tablet that could connect to the cloud”

According to the Bible, God (in a cloud) gave Moses the tablets of the Ten Commandments. This had nothing to do with cloud computing, but there have been several jokes.

“I thought Moses received the first data from the cloud - and that was on a tablet. Must have been Apple. Or was that what Eve had?” was posted on Twitter on June 24, 2011. “If Moses had accessed the 10 Commandments from the Cloud using his iPad, he never would have smashed his tablet” was posted on Twitter on January 29, 2012.

The joke became frequent in 2015. “‘Yeah, I used the cloud to download everything to this tablet’ - Moses” was posted on Twitter on March 5, 2015. “Provoking #IT Thought of the Day: Moses was the first person in history to have a Tablet with access to the #Cloud! #NerdsRule” was posted on Twitter on March 6, 2015.

Wikipedia: Cloud computing
Cloud computing is an information technology (IT) paradigm, a model for enabling ubiquitous access to shared pools of configurable resources (such as computer networks, servers, storage, applications and services). which can be rapidly provisioned with minimal management effort, often over the Internet. Cloud computing allows users and enterprises with various computing capabilities to store and process data either in a privately-owned cloud, or on a third-party server located in a data center - thus making data-accessing mechanisms more efficient and reliable. Cloud computing relies on sharing of resources to achieve coherence and economy of scale, similar to a utility.

Wikipedia: Ten Commandments
The Ten Commandments, also known as the Decalogue, are a set of biblical laws relating to ethics and worship, which play a fundamental role in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The commandments include instructions to worship only God, to honour one’s parents, and to keep the sabbath, as well as prohibitions against idolatry, blasphemy, murder, adultery, theft, dishonesty, and coveting. Different religious groups follow different traditions for interpreting and numbering them.
