Milk Duds are a brand of chocolate-coated caramel candies produced by The Hershey Company. The candy is a caramel disk covered with a confectionery chocolate coating made from cocoa and vegetable oil. Milk Duds are sold in a yellowish-orange box.
According to the manufacturer, the word “Milk” in the candy’s name refers to the large amount of milk in the product; the use of “dud” came about because the original aim of having a spherical shape wasn’t achieved. Milk Duds were first created in 1928.

Riesen (/ˈriːzn/ (listen); German pronunciation: [ˈʁiːzn̩]) (German for Giants) is a confectionery of chocolate and chocolate-flavored caramel produced and distributed by August Storck KG, a German confectioner that also produces Werther’s Original. In the US, the candy is individually wrapped and sold in medium, large, and club-sized bags. In the UK, the toffies come loose in packs of five, and individually wrapped in 110g bags. It consists of bite-sized pieces of chewy chocolate caramel covered in dark chocolate.

First manufactured in Norwich, Norfolk in the United Kingdom by Mackintosh’s in 1937 (followed by Rowntree’s after the takeover in 1969), they are made by Nestlé (except in the United States, where production has been licensed to The Hershey Company).
