The purpose of “wine tasting” is not to identify or verify if something tastes like wine, but that’s a standard joke.

“Me at a wine tasting: ‘yeah it tastes like wine’” was posted on X/Twitter by Definitely Nick on January 3, 2026, and this received over 3,400 likes. “[wine tasting]: Yep. That’s wine” was posted on X/Twitter by Böb Jänke: Hönkÿ on January 27, 2026, and this received over 4,700 likes.
