Malnegligence (malice + negligence)
“Malnegligence” (malice + negligence) suggests that an act was either intentionally malicious or an act of negligence—or some combination of the two. Ace of Spades HQ reported on July 8, 2013 that the Internal Revenue Service exposed thousands of Social Security numbers online and that this was the “latest case of malnegligence* by the IRS.” (”*Made up the word. They’re incompetent, but their incompetence often tends to have a malign bend to it.”)
“NHS corruption, bureaucracy or malnegligence” was cited in April 2011. “Legal Mal/Negligence” was cited in the Texas Lawyer in February 2012, but it meant “legal malpractice/negligence.”

Re: Sentenced to death on the NHS
Thanks for keeping tabs on these kinds of articles, Alan. Much appreciated — I’ve used this thread to refer people to for examples of NHS corruption, bureaucracy or malnegligence. In the UK, there is pro-NHS propaganda everywhere. It’s our Sacred Cow under the religion of Democratic Socialism.

By Brenda Sapino Jeffreys
February 6, 2012
Dallas’ Highland Financial Partners LP and two related companies filed suit in state court on Jan. 25, alleging “legal malpractice/negligence” against Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe in connection with how Orrick handled a financial transaction. But Baker Botts partner Rod Phelan of Dallas represents the defendants.

I’d be curious to know if the exposure of sensitive information (setting someone up for identity theft or worse) was purely random, affecting all sorts of different 527s, or if it’s mostly conservative leaning ones who were abused by this latest case of malnegligence* by the IRS.
