“Life is short. Eat better pizza”
“Life is short/uncertain. Eat dessert first” is a saying that became popular in the 1980s. Several variations exist, taking out “dessert” and inserting “pizza” instead.
“Life Is Uncertain, Eat Pizza First” (an ad for Pizzaworks of Mystic, Connecticut) was posted in The Day (New London, CT) on March 19, 1993. “LIFE IS SHORT. EAT BETTER PIZZA” (an ad for Jet’s Pizza, in a slogan that was trademarked) was printed in the Kalamazoo (MI) Gazette on May 6, 2007. “Life is short. Eat more pizza” was posted on Facebook by John’s Wildwood Pizza on February 12, 2010. “Life is short. Eat pizza” was posted on X/Twitter by Sarafina on October 31, 2011. “Life is short. Eat the pizza” was posted on X/Twitter by Shakey’s Pizza on November 6, 2014. “Life is short… eat as much pizza as possible” was posted on X/Twitter by Papa Johns on November 7, 2016.
“send a risky text, eat some pizza, life is short” was posted on X/Twitter by Sara (and others) on March 1, 2017. “send a risky text, eat some pizza, go on vacation. life is short” was posted on Facebook by All You Can Eat on February 26, 2026.
