Knights (Queens College teams)

Queens College uses "Knights"as its team nickname.

Queens Knights? New York City is has queens and kings and knights, but is short on rooks, bishops, and pawns.

Queens College, latest addition to metropolitan basketball circles, continues to be treated outlandishly by its neighbors. Beaten in their first two starts by Cooper Union and Brooklyn College, the Knights tried to recoup their fortunes last night against New York University at the Heights Gymnasium only to suffer a 47-17 setback.

The Queens College Knights gained their sixth consecutive basketball victory last night, defeating the Towson State Teachers from Maryland, 77-36
