J. P. Moron (JPMorgan Chase nickname)

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is one of the ‘Big Four” of banks in the United States with Bank of America, Citigroup and Wells Fargo. The bank is partly named after financier John Pierpont Morgan (1837-1913).
 
The nickname “J. P. Moron” has been cited in print since at least 1997, but has had infrequent use. JPMorgan Chase has also been nicknamed “J. P. Morgue” (cited in print since at least 2007) and “JPig” (cited in print since at least 2009).
 
Morgan Stanley has been nicknamed “Moron Stanley” since at least 1992.
