“Champagne” is sometimes used as a generic term for sparkling wine, but legally, it must come from the Champagne wine region of France. This became a joke meme.

In fact the reason it’s called turkey in English is because it reminded settlers of a bird that had been imported to Turkey from India. Brits associated it with Turkey bc that was their context of knowing the type of guineafowl. But yeah, sparkling chicken is better.
