Internal Rotten Scoundrels (Internal Revenue Service or IRS nickname)
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) collects revenue for the United States federal government. The IRS has been nicknamed “Irritating Rotten Scoundrels” since at least April 2004. The nickname “Internal Rotten Scoundrels” was on a sign at an “Audit the IRS” rally in Washington, DC, on June 19, 2013. The name “rotten scoundrels” was, perhaps, influenced by the popular comedy film starring Michael Caine and Steve Martin, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (1988).
The IRS has also been nicknamed the “Infernal Revenue Service” (cited in print since at least 1956), “Income Reduction Service” (cited in print since at least 1990), “Internal Rectal Service” (cited in print since at least 2000, by Congressman James Traficant in Congress), “Internal Revenge Service” (popular since April and May 2013), “IRSS” (IRS + SS, popular since May 2013) and “Immoral Robbery Service” (printed on shirts in 2017).
Wikipedia: Internal Revenue Service
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is the revenue service of the United States federal government. The agency is a bureau of the Department of the Treasury, and is under the immediate direction of the Commissioner of Internal Revenue. The IRS is responsible for collecting taxes and the interpretation and enforcement of the Internal Revenue Code.
The first income tax was assessed in 1862 to raise funds for the American Civil War, with a rate of 3%. Today the IRS collects over $2.4 trillion each tax year from around 234 million tax returns.

We actually did first reference Ohio State Highway Patrol, but just for you, Mr. Frydryk Edmund, if that’s your real name, I will reiterate that IRS stands for Internal Revenue Service.
Or perhaps it stands for Irritating Rotten Scoundrels.

The protestors carried signs expressing their frustration and anger with an agency they feel should be dismantled all together. The signs carried a mixture of comical and even off-colored remarks such as: “IRreSponsible”, “No more targeting by the IRS. Time for an overhaul”, “End income tax”, “Internal Rotten Scoundrels”, and “The Constitution Matters”.
