“In war you can only be killed once, but in politics many times”
Winston Churchill (1874-1965) said in 1903: ““Politics are almost as exciting as war, and—quite as dangerous. (...) Well, in war, you can only be killed once. But in politics many times.”
Churchill’s statement has been repeated frequently in politics, although political resurrections (especially if the politician has gone to jail for misdeeds in office) are relatively rare.
