“In politics, few talents are as richly rewarded as the ability to convince parasites that they are victims”
“Few skills are so well rewarded as the ability to convince parasites that they are victims” and “There is no talent so ardently supported, nor generously rewarded, as the ability to convince parasites they are victims” are quotations credited to American economist, social philosopher and political commentator Thomas Sowell that have been printed on many images.
“Few skills are so well rewarded as the ability to convince parasites that they are victims” was printed in the syndicated newspaper column “Random Thoughts: Of liberals, parasites and politics” by Thomas Sowell, in the Atlanta (GA) Journal on March 5, 1999.
“‘There is no talent so ardently supported, nor generously rewarded, as the ability to convince parasites they are victims.’ - Tomas Sowell” was posted on the newsgroup alt.atheism on March 21, 1999. This is possibly a misquote, but more likely, Sowell repeated the quip from his syndicated column in a television show or a radio show, using slightly different wording.
“In politics, few talents are as richly rewarded as the ability to convince parasites that they are victims” was printed in the column “Largesse for Losers: Translating the Left’s rhetoric, and other random thoughts” by Thomas Sowell, in the National Review on April 10, 2012.

In politics, few talents are as richly rewarded as the ability to convince parasites that they are victims. Welfare states on both sides of the Atlantic have discovered that largesse to losers does not reduce their hostility to society, but only increases it. Far from producing gratitude, generosity is seen as an admission of guilt, and the reparations as inadequate compensations for injustices — leading to worsening behavior by the recipients.
