IMPOTUS (impotent + POTUS)

POTUS stands for President Of The United States. IMPOTUS stands for Impeached President Of The United States. “IMPOTUS” is similar to the word “impotent” and can also mean “impotent POTUS.”

“I would like to ask you to hereafter refer to him not as POTUS but IMPOTUS, as in Impotent, Immoral, Imposter, Immature” was posted on Twitter by I’m the WhistleBlower on October 24, 2012. “The 0vomit administration is still sneezing into the wind… 0bummer = lamest duck = #Impotent + #POTUS = #ImPotus” was posted on Twitter by Rocket on December 10, 2016.

The IMPOTUS term became popular during the presidency (and impeachment proceedings) of Donald Trump. “One can only hope that justice prevails and in 2 months he can be Former POTUS or better IMPOTUS (that’s Impeached POTUS for the uneducated)” was posted on Twitter by “I saw a good meme….” on September 6, 2018.

American attorney George T. Conway III (husband of Kellyanne Conway, a Donald Trump employee) popularized “IMPOTUS” in tweets on December 19, 2019, and he also entered the term in the Urban Dictionary, but his was not the first use of “IMPOTUS.”

Interesting analogy.  Likewise, what if a CEO routinely made false and misleading statements about himself, the company, and results, and publicly attacked business partners, company “divisions” (w/ scare quotes!), employees, and analysts, and kowtowed to a dangerous competitor? twitter.com/pbump/status/1…

God, how can POTUS, named a unindicted co-conspirator in a federal crime with a serious investigation mounting against him and several colleagues pleading guilty or flipping be allowed to pick his own SCOTUS? Especially one that says no prez can be indicted during term? Madness!!

Wait, so is “IMPOTUS” meant to be a portmanteau of “impotent” and “POTUS”, or is it a punctuation-free spelling of “I’m POTUS”?

George Conway’s new nickname for Trump starts trend: ‘IMPOTUS’
BY MARINA PITOFSKY - 12/20/19 02:41 PM EST
George Conway, a conservative attorney and White House counselor Kellyanne Conway’s husband, created a new nickname for President Trump that went viral Thursday after he lashed out online.

“An Update on IMPOTUS (IMpeached President Of The United States),” Conway, a frequent, and often fiery critic of the president tweeted Thursday night.

POTUS is a common acronym that stands for president of the United States. The new acronym sought to combine the two ideas of impeachment and the presidential office into one. The House voted to impeach Trump on two articles of impeachment earlier this week, including abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

Urban Dictionary
impotus
POTUS means President Of The United States.
IMPOTUS means President Donald Trump after Impeachment!
The Trumpster is more of an IMPOTENT IMPOTUS President now that Impeachment has commenced!

When I see the hashtag #IMPOTUS in lieu of @POTUS, I think of the word #IMPOTENT. @Franklin_Graham must be livid that his god is being mocked. Kudos to @gtconway3d.
