“I’m dreaming of a white Christmas, but if the white runs out, I’ll drink the red”

“I’m dreaming of a white Christmas” is a famous line in Irving Berlin’s classic Christmas song, “White Christmas” (1942). A “white Christmas” joke that has been printed on many images is, “I’m dreaming of a white Christmas, but if the white runs out, I’ll drink the red.”
   
“I’m dreaming of a white Xmas…But when the white runs out I’ll drink the red” was posted to the newsgroup uk.rec.humour on December 5, 2006.
 
“About all you can do is dream of a white Christmas; it leaves most of us in the red” is another “white Christmas” joke.

According to the Guinness World Records, the version sung by Bing Crosby is the best-selling single of all time, with estimated sales in excess of 100 million copies worldwide.
