“If your food can go bad, it’s good for you. If your food can’t go bad, it’s not good for you” (also “If your food can go bad, it’s good for you. If it can’t go bad, it’s bad for you” and “If your food can go bad, it’s good for you.  If it can’t, it’s probably not”) is a saying that has been printed on many images. It’s sometimes been called the “Eat Right Rule” or “Rule of Food.” Foods such as fruits and vegetables spoil. Heavily processed foods can last for many years.
