“If you even dream of beating me, you’d better wake up and apologize”
“If you even dream of beating me, you’d better wake up and apologize” is a boxer’s taunt that was popularized by Muhammad Ali (1942-2016). Ali said about competitor Joe Frazier (1944-2011) in September 1968:
“If Joe ever dreamed that (beating me—ed.), he’d wake up and apologize.”
