“If ‘Plan A’ doesn’t work, the alphabet has 25 more letters”

If “Plan A” (the first option) doesn’t work, people either quit or move on to “Plan B” (the second option). “If ‘Plan A’ didn’t/doesn’t work, remember that the alphabet has 25 more letters” is a jocular motivational saying that has been printed on many posters. The saying was popularized by the author Claire Cook in 2010.

One of my best friends also sent me some words of wisdom in a text that simply said: “If ‘Plan A’ doesn’t work, don’t worry. The alphabet has 25 more letters.”
