“I was sitting drinking coffee in my slippers this morning, when I thought to myself… I really need to wash some mugs” was posted on Reddit—Jokes on September 24, 2018. The joke is that the coffee is in the slippers.
   
The saying was posted on Twitter by Lee Rutland and MOGGY on September 23, 2018, but it’s possible that the Reddit joke was posted first. (The sites have time differences.)
