“I used to have mad cow disease, but I’m alright noooooo!” (joke)

Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) or “Mad Cow Disease” has affected cattle in the United Kingdom since 1989 and in North America since 1993. “I used to have mad cow disease, but I’m alright noooooo(w)!” (the last word is pronounced like a cow’s “moo”) is a joke that has been credited to Scottish comedian Billy Connolly since 2006.

“I used to have Mad Cow Disease but I’m fine nooooooooow” has been printed on several styles of T-shirts.
