“I told my wife a husband is like fine wine; he gets better with age. She locked me in the cellar”

American stand-up comedian Rodney Dangerfield (1921-2004) told a now classic joke about husbands and wives.

“I told my wife a man is like good wine; he gets better with age. So she locked me in the cellar” was printed in the New York (NY) Times on May 12, 1982. “I told my wife that a husband is like a fine wine, he gets better with age… The next day, she locked me in the cellar” was posted on Reddit—Jokes on July 16, 2016.

I told my wife that a husband is like a fine wine: we just get better with age.
The next day she locked me in the cellar.
