“I taught my daughter what the word ‘bargain’ meant” (joke)

“I’d like to thank the person who taught me the meaning of the word ‘bargain’, it means a great deal” was posted on Twitter by Spocksgoat on December 17, 2014. A form of the joke was posted on Reddit—Jokes on May 11, 2018, where a man says “Bargain” at a funeral, and the widow says, “Thank you. It means a great deal.” (Other versions of this have the man say “Plethora,” and the widow say, “Thank you. It means a lot.”)

A woman is sitting at her husband’s funeral listening to the eulogies being read…
A man in the pew behind her leans forward to ask, “Do you mind if I say a word?”.
 
“No, not at all”, she replies.
