“I ordered tennis balls on the internet, but the site crashed. Must be problems with the server”
Websites often have a problem with a “server,” providing the basis of tennis puns. “Just tried to get on the British Tennis Association’s website but they’re having problems with their server” was cited on Twitter on July 29, 2009. “I tried to order some tennis balls off the internet last night but the site kept crashing. Must be having problems with their server” was cited on Twitter on April 7, 2011.
“I’ve made a website for depressed tennis players. The servers are currently down” is a similar joke about tennis “servers.”
