Customer service for a communications company such as Comcast or Spectrum can take a long time. A joke was posted on Twitter by Simon Holland on May 8, 2017:
“I got a job at Comcast and completed training so I could fix my own cable because it was faster than being on hold with customer service.”
The joke was posted on Reddit—Oneliners on October 16, 2020. “I got a job at Spectrum & got trained as a technician so I could fix my own cable cuz it was faster than waiting for their customer service” was posted on Twitter by Gregory Harshfield on May 16, 2017. Other companies have also been included in the joke.
