“I drink as I dress: Chablis” (also “I dress as I drink: Chablis”) is a pun on “Chablis”/“shabbily.” “i drink as i dress…Chablis” was cited in print in 2002. The joke is mainly known in the United Kingdom.
British restaurant critic Victor Lewis-Smith wrote ” I like to drink as I dress ... Chablis” in a 2005 restaurant review and used the same remark in a 2006 review.
