"I don't need to 'get a life.'…

“I don’t need to ‘get a life.’ I’m a gamer. I have lots of lives” is a jocular one-line saying that has been printed on many images. “Get a life!” is a line that actor William Shatner told a mock Star Trek convention on the late night comedy television show Saturday Night Live in 1986.

“‘Get a life’? I’m a gamer. I have lots of lives!” was posted on the newsgroup rec.games.frp.announce on May 8, 1998.
